Kenny Greve, memories

Kenneth S. Greve, 70, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, from complications after surgery. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Sumner United Methodist Church. There will be a memorial gathering for friends and family from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Sumner. Friends may also call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Kenneth Simpson Greve, 70, was born March 5, 1933, in Freeport, Ill., to Edwin and Zelda (Rictemeyer) Greve. He married Geraldine Zubrod on Aug. 10, 1952, in Independence. He owned and operated Oran Motors in Oran for 27 years, retiring in 2001. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine of Oran; three daughters, Paula (Mike) Schoonover and Brenda Kuhlmann, both of Sumner, and Teri (Bob) Biddle of New Badin, Ill; one son, David (Laura) of Ossian; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda (Fritz) Boss of Browntown, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
